Darren Mohammed expands his responsibilities as the Director of Microsoft Azure supporting customers in Central America and the Caribbean
Port of Spain – Microsoft announced the appointment of Adil Ackbar as Country Representative for Microsoft in Trinidad and Tobago effective April 27th, 2023. The executive will have the dual role of Country Representative for the country and Account Executive for the Caribbean Public Sector. Darren Mohammed, who previously held the position of Country Representative, is expanding his responsibilities in his new role as Director of Microsoft Azure for customers in Central America and the Caribbean.
Adil has more than 18 years of experience in the industry, working for different organizations, including Columbus Business Solutions, C&W Business and IBM, among others. In 2020 he joined Microsoft as a Solutions Area Specialist for Trinidad and Tobago and has achieved exceptional business results by embodying Microsoft’s values focusing on customer and partner success.

Adil has a Bachelor of Computing and Information Systems, from London Metropolitan University. His experience has allowed him to complement his training as a professional and achieve recognitions in the various institutions in which he has participated such as the Microsoft Champion Award, Microsoft FY21 Top Sub, NCC Education’s Regional High Achiever Award and the IBM Top Gun Award.
Darren Mohammed will focus on his expanded role across Central America and the Caribbean, harnessing the power of Azure to solve customers’ challenges, while focusing on their digital transformation journey. “It has been a pleasure to be the country representative for Microsoft, witnessing how we’re bringing our mission to life in Trinidad & Tobago. In my expanded role, I’m most excited about recent advances in artificial intelligence and the potential customers are seeing to do more with AI. As trusted advisors, we have the capabilities to empower and inspire them, and this is aligned to our Microsoft mission,” commented Darren Mohammed. Among the many responsibilities in his expanded scope, the executive is leading a team of Azure specialists who help customers through solution design and technical proofs for application modernization, infrastructure in the cloud, data analytics and AI projects.
